Your WordPress site, without the WordPress
If nobody has published anything on your site in a year, you are paying for plugin updates, security patches, a database and a login page the whole internet can attack, to serve a few pages that never change. A static conversion keeps the design and the URLs and removes everything that needs maintaining. From $129, one-off.
Instant price from your sitemap · Live in 3 to 5 working days · Full refund if it cannot be done
Type your website address. I read your sitemap, count the pages and show the price. No email needed.
Powered by sitemapcheck.app, a Rootscope tool. Nothing is changed on your site.
WordPress is a publishing system. It is brilliant when you publish. When the site is a brochure that has not changed since launch, every update I apply on a maintenance plan is protecting pages that would be safer as plain files. I run maintenance plans for a living, and for a site like that I would rather convert it once than bill you every month.
If that is you, a maintenance plan keeps the site safe instead. The price box above tells you which group your site is in.
Legal pages do not count. Up to 50 blog posts are included in every band. Prices exclude tax.
One-off, paid when you order. Full refund if I cannot deliver a matching static copy.
Hosting starts when the site goes live, not when you order. Cancel any time and take the files with you.
Compare that with a maintenance plan from $34 a month, which is what a WordPress site needs to stay safe.
Two small business sites I converted recently. Both looked identical afterwards. Everything an attacker could use was gone.
| Site A 11 pages, last changed 2018 | Site B 7 pages, last changed 2015 | |
|---|---|---|
| Files on the server | 9,380 → 274 | 10,915 → 320 |
| Disk space | 260 MB → 14 MB | 187 MB → 3.4 MB |
| Files that can run code | about 2,750 → 0 | about 6,100 → 1 |
| Plugins to keep updated | 9 → 0 | 11 → 0 |
| Screens compared, old against new | 27 of 27 identical | 21 of 21 identical |
Site B's contact form had bounced 1,926 messages since 2015. Nobody knew. I check the old form on every conversion.
Most of what I write about on this blog is what goes wrong when WordPress is left alone: a supply-chain backdoor shipped inside a plugin update, a PHP vulnerability that turns any upload into a shell, a server compromise traced back to one unpatched site. Every one of those needs PHP running on the server to work. A static site has no PHP, no database and no admin login. The whole class of problem disappears.
So when someone asks me to maintain a ten-page site that has not changed since 2019, the honest answer is not a care plan. It is this page. The maintenance plans stay for the sites that need them: shops, members, bookings, busy blogs, anything with moving parts.
For sites up to 30 pages. Larger sites take a little longer and you get a date when you order.
Get your price at the top of the page, or send me the address below and I will reply with a fixed price within one working day. If the site needs WordPress after all, I will say so and point you at the right plan.
